Embraer signed off this year’s Singapore air show with an eye-catching order for up to 100 Embraer E2 regional jets from Indian start-up Air Costa.
The airline has ordered 25 E-190 E2s and 25 E-195 E2s with purchase rights for a further 25 of each type.
Air Costa's commitment is the first airline order for the two largest variants of the re-engined E-Jets. It takes the total of firm orders announced during the show to 191 together with options on 100 more.
These exclude Bangkok Airways’ commitment for six firm and two options for ATR 72-600s announced during the show, which had previously been logged as orders for an undisclosed customer.
