Daher-Socata has delivered the first TBM 700 retrofitted with Garmin's G600/GTN 750 glass cockpit.

The system replaces the mechanical equipment and first-generation cathode ray tube electronic flight displays that are a standard feature on the 24-year-old single-engined turboprop.

The Garmin G600 is an instrument panel upgrade that pairs a liquid-crystal primary flight display and multifunction display in a single 10in bezel. The G600 also features synthetic vision technology.

The retrofit is priced at around $120,000 for a "basic package", although a "more sophisticated" option is available, the Tarbes, France-based company says. "This combines the G600 with Garmin's GTN 750 GPS/NAV/COM system, which uses a touchscreen interface on a larger display screen, offering graphical flight planning, transponder control, audio control and electronic chart capabilities," the airframer adds.

The retrofit package is also available for TBM 850s which are not equipped with Garmin's G1000 integrated flightdeck.
