Bombardier has appointed Eric Martel as president of its business aircraft division. Martel will take up the post on 1 January, succeeding Steve Ridolfi, who was last week named Bombardier’s senior vice president of strategy, mergers and acquisitions.

“Over the course of Eric’s [11 year] tenure at Bombardier, he has held numerous positions with increasing responsibilities, including president, Bombardier customer services and specialised and amphibious aircraft since 2011. Eric comes to this new position with a proven and very successful track record,” says Bombardier Aerospace president and chief operating officer, Guy Hachey.

Meanwhile, Michel Ouellette will take over Martel's current post on 1 January 2014. “These appointments come at a critical time for Bombardier Aerospace, as we make major investments in product development and continue to grow our services footprint internationally. I’m confident that Eric and Michel are the right leaders to execute and deliver on our commitments,” adds Hachey.
