Flybe Finland will change its name to Nordic Regional Airlines in May.

The change follows a move by Finnair to acquire Flybe’s 60% stake in the joint venture to temporarily take full control while a new owner is sought.

"The new name reflects our core business services, which are regional flights," says chief executive Maunu Visuri. "Our goal is to guarantee high quality and good services as an Nordic airline also in the future."

Talks over future ownership are still ongoing, the airline adds.
