Middle Eastern budget airline Flydubai is extending its Russian network with services to Novosibirsk and Nizhny Novgorod.

It will open both routes in the first week of October, the carrier states.

Novosibirsk will be served thrice-weekly and Nizhny Novgorod twice per week. The Dubai-based carrier operates a fleet of 47 Boeing 737-800s.

Flydubai says that the expansion brings to 10 the number of destinations it will serve in Russia.

Both cities, it states, are “established economic hubs”.

Flydubai started flying to Russia in 2012 and it has gradually increased its reach. It began operations to the capital, through Moscow Vnukovo, last year.
