Kyrgystan start-up Air Manas has opened domestic scheduled services and identified its future Russian destinations.

The carrier has introduced two daily rotations between the nation's capital Bishkek and Osh, using one of Boeing 737s wet-leased from Turkish airline Pegasus.

In the second quarter Air Manas plans to launch a substantial Russian operation to capitalise on transporting a large number of Kyrgyz migrant workers.

It has identified destinations like Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Perm and Surgut. At present, the carrier's provides regular cross-border services only from Bishkek to Istanbul.

Under a joint venture agreement with Pegasus, which owns 49% of Air Manas, the Kyrgyz carrier also uses the Pegasus Asia brand.
