Low-cost carrier Norwegian has expanded its UK network for the summer, adding both long- and short-haul routes.

On 4 April, the airline began a weekly transatlantic service between London Gatwick and Orlando International, an airport it also serves from Oslo and Copenhagen.

Norwegian intends to disclose plans for another long-haul route from Gatwick later this month.

Meanwhile, the carrier has also begun operations at the UK's Birmingham airport, with thrice-weekly flights to Madrid and Malaga.

Barcelona will join that list from 1 June, when Norwegian starts two flights per week from Birmingham.

Additionally, Norwegian has launched twice-weekly, summer-only services from Madrid to Dubrovnik and Nice.

A new, weekly Madrid-Catania flight is also being operated just for the summer.
