Budget carrier Ryanair is to establish a Polish heavy-maintenance base at the south-western city of Wroclaw next year.

The airline says that it will invest €6 million in the project and create up to 150 positions.

Work on a new two-bay hangar will start in November this year and the facility, Wroclaw Aircraft Maintenance Services, will open in March 2016.

Ryanair says it will offer C-check capabilities for its Boeing 737-800 fleet. The airline has two of the type stationed at Wroclaw.
