Vistara has signed an agreement with Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC) in India for the training of its pilots.

Having recently received approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency for its Airbus A320 simulator, FSTC says it plans to install six full flight simulators in three stages over an 18-month period.

In a statement, FSTC adds that it is also targeting several international airlines to send their pilots for training at its facilities.

FSTC already counts SpiceJet, IndiGo, Jet Airways and JetLite as its customers. The centre, which is located in Gurgaon near New Delhi, also conducts cabin emergency evacuation training for cabin crew members.

Vistara is likely to miss its end-October launch date over a reported delay in receiving approval from the Indian authorities.

Ascend Fleets database shows that Vistara has taken delivery of two A320s and has a further 18 on order.
