Aeroflot Russian Airlines is seeking board approval to add eight new Boeing 737-800s to its fleet from four operating leasing companies.

The board meeting is scheduled for 16 October, according to a document.

Aeroflot is also looking at adding two 737-800s from BBAM Aircraft Management, another two units from Avolon Aerospace, one aircraft from AWAS, and three 737-800s from SMBC Aviation Capital.

The carrier is also looking to extend the lease agreement on four Airbus A320s with GECAS.
