Air France-KLM has introduced a mobile connectivity service which allows passengers to send text messages and access the internet.

From today, the service is available on Amsterdam-Panama and Paris-New York flights that are operated by KLM and Air France, respectively, using Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

The airline group is making use of Panasonic Avionics' eXPhone technology, delivered via a partnership with GSM service provider AeroMobile, which has agreements with some 220 phone service providers across 100 countries.
