Air Mauritanie is introducing a 24-year-old Boeing 727-200Adv that it will operate on behalf of the country's government and occasionally on its own passenger services. The ex-Comair aircraft has been acquired by the state of Qatar on Mauritania's behalf, in a deal that was arranged by UK-based marketing company Prime Aviation. Aircraft lessor Safair has incorporated the DuganAir Quiet Wing System Stage 3 hushkit, winglets, auxiliary fuel tanks and upgraded avionics to comply with European navigation regulations. The aircraft features a two-class first/economy interior equipped with liquid-crystal-display video and audio entertainment systems.
