All Nippon Airways domestic load factor at 61.2% in February

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways's (ANA) recorded a domestic load factor of 61.2% in February.

On domestic routes, the carrier's traffic, as measured in RPKs, fell by 1.3%, while capacity, as measured in ASKs, decreased by 3.4% year-on-year and total passenger numbers fell by 1.6% to 2.77 million, says the Star Alliance member.

On international routes, the airline's load factor came in at 72.2%, while RPKs grew by 1.4% year-on-year, ASKs climbed by 5.4% and passenger numbers decreased by 7.3% to 461,000.

The volume of international cargo carried by the airline in February dropped by 6.3% year on year to 39,800t, while domestic cargo volumes fell by 2.2% year on year to 38,000t.

Comparisons with the previous corresponding period are affected by the extra day in February 2012, as a result of the leap year.
