All Nippon Airways domestic passenger traffic up 3.5% in December

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has posted a 3.5% increase in domestic passenger traffic for December 2012, as measured in RPKs, compared with the same month in 2011.

The airline's domestic passenger capacity, as measured by ASKs, rose by 3.6%, while its domestic passenger numbers rose by 3% to 3.06 million for the reporting month. The domestic passenger load factor in December 2012 was 58.5%.

On international routes, the airline's RPKs increased by 14%. The carrier's international passenger capacity rose by 15% and its passenger numbers grew by 2% to 510,000 during the month. The international load factor stood at 73.7%.

The volume of international cargo carried by ANA in December 2012 rose by 9.3% to 51,800t, and its domestic cargo volume rose by 6.7% to 52,800t.
