ANA domestic passenger traffic up 1.3% in January

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has posted 1.3% year-on-year growth in its domestic RPKs for January, compared with the same period a year ago.

Its domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 1.1% year on year, while total passenger numbers increased by 0.8% to 2.79 million, says the Star Alliance member. This resulted in a domestic load factor of 55.6%.

On international routes, the airline's RPKs grew by 12% year on year, its ASKs climbed by 15% and passenger numbers rose by 1.7% to 509,000, resulting in a load factor of 72.8% for the month.

The volume of international cargo carried by the airline in January went up by 23% year on year to 44,700t, while domestic cargo volumes rose by 7.5% year on year to 35,400t.
