AgustaWestland has sold 10 helicopters to Azerbaijan Airlines - marking the first foray in to the rotorcraft market for the Eurasian carrier.
The €115 million ($ 151 million) deal comprises an order for eight AW139 intermediate twins and a "preliminary sales contract" for two AW189 medium twins.
The airline plans to use four AW139s and the two AW189s for offshore transportation.
The remainder of the AW139 fleet will be used for VIP transport, emergency medical services and search and rescue operations.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of this year.
