Aircraft leasing firm BOC Aviation will lease eight new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Brazilian carrier Gol Linhas Aereas.

The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered from first quarter of 2013 through to third quarter of 2014, and are being acquired through a purchase and leaseback transaction.

BOC Aviation's chief commercial officer Steven Townend says the company has committed $1.5 billion to purchase and leaseback transactions in recent months.
