Vietnam Airlines' joint-venture carrier in Cambodia has joined Sabre's customer sales and service (CSS) system.
The CSS system will assist Cambodia Angkor Air with its efforts to interline and codeshare, says Sabre, adding that the new reservations system will also "enhance Cambodia Angkor Air's revenue through merchandising and ancillary services".
"Cambodia Angkor Air is anxious to become a full-service carrier and to expand its international services as soon as possible," says the airline's CEO, Trinh Ngoc Thanh, who previously worked for Vietnam Airlines.
The airline, which is a joint-venture between the Cambodia Government and state-owned carrier Vietnam Airlines, started operations July last year and today operates to Ho Chi Minh City and on some domestic Cambodian routes.
Sabre says the airline wants to launch services to other destinations in southeast Asia and is also looking at China and South Korea.
The carrier operates three ATR 72-500 turboprops and one Airbus A321, says Flightglobal's ACAS database.
