Luxembourg-based freight specialist Cargolux has received its fourth Boeing 747-8F at the aircraft manufacturer's delivery centre in Everett.
The aircraft entered into revenue service on 24 May, stopping over at Los Angeles before travelling on to Luxembourg.
Frank Reimen, president and chief executive, Cargolux, says: "LX-VCE, which is the first aircraft that was not part of the test flight program, is also the first 747-8F delivered from Boeing with increased operational weights."
Delivery of Cargolux's first 747-8F was delayed for one month last autumn after stakeholder Qatar Airways voiced concerns about contractual performance issues.
The latest delivery will replace a 747-400F that is due to leave the freight operator's fleet this summer.
