Delta passenger unit revenue up 4% in August

Delta Air Lines reports a 4% increase in consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) in August, led by strong performance in its domestic, trans-Atlantic and Latin markets.

Traffic and capacity increased by 2.7% and 3.3%, respectively, compared to a year earlier. The load factor was down 0.5 percentage points to 87.3%.

Domestic traffic increased 0.6%, while capacity increased by 2.7%, which resulted in the load factor decreasing by 1.8 percentage points to 85.3%.

International traffic and capacity increased by 5.4% and 4%, respectively. The load factor was up 1.2 percentage points to 90%.
