A year after spinning off its corporate helicopters business under a dedicated brand, Airbus has returned to EBACE with the first ACH130 to be delivered under the new Airbus Corporate Helicopters banner.
The seven-seat turbine-single is outfitted in what the company describes as “the racing-inspired, in-house Stylence” light-weight VIP interior
ACH will not identify the aircraft’s owner but says the rotorcraft will be operated by Monaco-based VIP charter company Monacair. The company has a fleet of eight Safran Helicopter Engines Arriel 2D-powered ACH130s.
Frederic Lemos, the head of ACH, says: “The ACH130 combines unique passenger-focused design, exceptional single-engine performance, and first-class quality and comfort, making it popular with private [and charter] customers worldwide.”
ACH rolled out the 700th 130-series aircraft in May. The largest member of the Ecureil – or Squirrel – family of light helicopters has accumulated 1.8 million flight hours with 340 operators globally.
The latest variant of the ACH130 was certificated in 2012, but received an upgrade at the beginning of this year with the addition of a glass cockpit.
