Lessor Air Lease Corporation has become the first customer to sign for the Airbus A330neo, with a tentative agreement to take 25 of the -900neo version.

It made the commitment at the Farnborough air show, just after Airbus formally launched the modernised jet, as it also ordered 60 Airbus A321neos.
Airbus says the Air Lease agreement is the subject of a memorandum of understanding. The A330neo will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines.
