Frontier traffic down 31% in March

Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has reported a 31% year-on-year decrease in passenger traffic in March.

Capacity declined by 34%, while passenger numbers fell by 28% to 843,000 during the month. The load factor rose four percentage points to 90%.

Mainline passenger traffic declined by 23% against a capacity decrease of 25%, while the load factor rose 2 percentage points to 90%. Passenger numbers fell by 13% to 801,000.

Regional traffic fell by 80% against a capacity decrease of 80%, which lead to load factor growth of 2 percentage points to 82% year-on-year. Passenger numbers fell by 83% to 42,000.
