Japan Airlines (JAL) has posted a 0.1% year-on-year dip in domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for January.
The carrier's domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, fell by 3.8%, while its domestic passenger numbers declined by 0.1% to 2.21 million. The domestic load factor stood at 57.7%.
JAL's international passenger traffic for the month grew by 7.2% year on year. Its international capacity went up by 3.9% and international passenger numbers also increased by 3.9% to 619,000. The international load factor was 72.7%.
The volume of international cargo carried climbed by 8.6% to 19,600t, while the amount of mail carried fell by 3.3% to 2,230t.
The carrier's total cargo carried on domestic routes decreased by 3.3% to 25,900t and total mail carried also went down by 3.3% to 2,210t.
