Japan Airlines (JAL) has posted a 0.6% year-on-year increase in domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for April.
The carrier's domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 2.9%, while its domestic passenger numbers inched up by 1.8% to 2.31 million. The domestic load factor stood at 57.2%.
JAL's international passenger traffic and international capacity for the month both went up by 4.5% year on year. The airline's international passenger numbers decreased by 0.2% year on year to 578,000. The international load factor was 69.8%.
The volume of international cargo carried increased by 0.9% to 20,800t, while the amount of mail carried grew by 11.3% to 2,400t.
The carrier's total cargo carried on domestic routes increased by 1.4% to 31,800t and total mail carried surged by 4.7% to 2,300t.
