Japan Airlines domestic traffic flat in July

Japan Airlines (JAL) has posted a 0.3% year-on-year increase in domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for July.

The carrier's domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 1.7%, while its domestic passenger numbers went up by 1% to 2.57 million. The domestic load factor stood at 59.5%.

JAL's international passenger traffic grew by 6.3% and international capacity for the month went up by 4.7%. The airline's international passenger numbers grew by 3.7% to 666,000. The international load factor was 77.5%.

The volume of international cargo carried increased by 7.8% to 22,700t, while the amount of mail carried grew by 16% to 2,250t.

The carrier's total cargo carried on domestic routes increased by 1% to 36,200t and total mail carried rose by 9.1% to 2,230t.
