KLM is to withdraw services to Lusaka and Harare on 26 October.

The Dutch carrier says "recent optimisation" of its network portfolio in East Africa led to the decision to axe weekly Airbus A330-200 services from Amsterdam to the Zambian and Zimbabwean capitals.

KLM has directed customers for flights after October to book with codeshare partner Kenya Airways.
