Latin American passenger traffic up 10.3% in November

Latin American carriers reported a 10.3% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in November 2012, according to the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA).

Capacity grew 4.7%, while the passenger load factor increased by 4.1 percentage points to 77%, says ALTA.

Passenger numbers rose 10.3% to 12.9 million during the month.

On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic was up 8.3% year-on-year, capacity grew 6.2% and the passenger load factor increased 1.5 percentage points to 76.5%. Passenger numbers were up 7.5% to 137 million.
