Latin American carriers reported a 7.6% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in October, according to the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA).
Capacity grew 4.6% year-on-year, while the passenger load factor increased by 2.1 percentage points to 75.8%, it says.
Passenger numbers rose 9.1% to 12.9 million during the month.
On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic was up 8% year-on-year, capacity grew 6.3% and the passenger load factor increased 1.2 percentage point to 76.4%. Passenger numbers were up 7.2% to 124 million.
