LOT Polish Airlines has confirmed that one of its Boeing 767-300ERs today carried out an emergency landing at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport.
Flight LO 016, en route from New York Newark to Warsaw, was carrying 220 passengers and 11 crew members, all of whom were safely evacuated, said LOT.
"After noticing a central hydraulic system failure the standard procedure for emergency landings at Warsaw airport were implemented," said the carrier.

"All airport authorities and emergency services were alerted and in place to assist the aircraft during the landing."
The aircraft, registered as SP-LPC, was built in 1997 and delivered to LOT on lease from Aircastle on 15 May, according to Flightglobal's Ascend database. It is powered by General Electric CF6-80C2 engines.
As of 1 September, the aircraft had flown 59,327h with 7,354 cycles.
Video footage shows the aircraft sliding down the runway on its belly before coming to a halt, apparently at the end of the runway.
