Kiev-based Aerosvit Airlines has taken delivery of an ex-Scandinavian Airlines, Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered Boeing 767-300ER leased from Boeing Capital. The aircraft will be the first Western-build widebody airliner to be operated in Ukraine. The 350-seater will be operated from Kiev to points in North America and South-East Asia. Kalitta Air has purchased two Boeing 747-200 Special Freighters which were formerly owned by China Airlines in a deal arranged by Focus Aviation. UK operator Highland Airways has acquired an ex-American Eagle ATR 42-300 in a deal arranged by Magellan Air. The aircraft will be operated as a freighter. Meanwhile, Magellan Air has delivered two ex-Schreiner Airways ATR 72-200s to Danish carrier Cimber Air and extended the lease on an ATR 42-300. Condor is to withdraw six of its 13 Boeing 757-300s because of the overcapacity in the German charter market.
