Nordic Aviation Capital has placed another pair of ATR 72s under operating lease agreements with Maldivian carrier Flyme and Brazil's Azul.

A 2002-vintage ATR 72-500 previously operated by Turkey's Borajet has been leased to Flyme. This is the third aircraft NAC has placed with the airline.

A new ATR 72-600 aircraft, MSN 1236, is the 19th NAC has delivered to Azul and the third aircraft under a six-unit deal struck with the Brazilian carrier this year.

NAC has also completed the purchase of a pair of Bombardier CRJ900s, MSNs 15175 and 15209, from Strategic Air Finance. The 2008-vintage CRJ900s, which were last operated by Uruguay's Pluna, are part of a seven-aircraft deal.

Trans States subsidiary GoJet Airlines will lease seven CRJ900s from NAC, the carrier's president Rick Leach told Flightglobal last month.
