Ryanair is to close its Lappeenranta-Milan route in October and as a result will operate no services to Finland this winter.

The Irish budget carrier had already decided to end its other Finnish services, to Tampere, on 2 November.

"Operational and commercial reasons" lay behind the decision to withdraw from Lappeenranta-Milan, says Ryanair, but it adds that it is "currently finalising" its summer 2016 Finnish schedule, "details of which will be announced in the autumn".
