United PRASM increases up to 7.5% in March

United Airlines reports that passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased by 6.5% to 7.5% during March compared to a year earlier.

Consolidated traffic fell 1.2% and capacity fell 4.6% during March, which resulted in a 2.9 percentage point increase in load factor to 84.4%.

Domestic traffic and capacity were down 2.9% and 4.8%, respectively, resulting in a 1.7 percentage point growth in load factor to 86.7%.

International traffic fell 0.5% and capacity fell 5.5%, which resulted in a 4.1 percentage point increase in load factor to 82.8%.
