Southwest Airlines has confirmed eight injuries among 150 passengers and crew members aboard Flight 345 that crash-landed at LaGuardia airport in New York on 22 July.

Flight 345 arrived from Nashville, Tennessee after a 1h 51min flight through mild storms near New York air space.

Online flight-tracking services show a route that does not suggest the crew made any emergency manoeuvres before making a final approach to LaGuardia.

Passengers evacuated from the rear right door emergency slide onto the grass by runway 4.

The US National Transportation Safety Board has tweeted that it is gathering information on the Flight 345 accident.
