Low-cost carrier Virgin America is launching seasonal flights between Palm Springs and San Francisco and New York's John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport.
The carrier will operate daily non-stop between Palm Springs and San Francisco from 18 October, which it operated on a seasonal basis last year, and it will launch a weekly non-stop flight between Palm Springs and JFK from 22 December.
"Since entering these Palm Springs markets, we've seen strong demand for our unique flight service. We're pleased to be expanding in the market and offering a new non-stop option for travellers coming from New York to the desert this winter," says John MacLeod, senior vice president of planning and sales at Virgin America.
Alaska Airlines and United Airlines operate non-stop between Palm Springs and San Francisco, schedules in Innovata show. No airline operates non-stop between Palm Springs and New York.
