Alongside its rolling news service, Air Transport Intelligence (ATI) will offer customers an extensive online database.

ATI's data modules will cover suppliers, aircraft, airlines, airports, powerplants, other organisations, a who's-who of key industry personnel, events, jobs, safety statistics and data from sister company OAG.

The databases will be updated throughout the day as new information arrives. ATI data research manager Tim Welch describes the service as "the most comprehensive and up-to-date online information bank available".

Customers will be able to tap into the data modules to construct exceptionally full briefings. The airline module, for example, will include financial records, fleet data, traffic information and other company statistics.

Crucially, each module is hyperlinked so that a customer can seamlessly transfer from one area of interest to another. For instance, a user reviewing an airline's management could switch directly to a selected manager's biographical entry by clicking on his name.

ATI's data products will comprehensively fill several yawning gaps in currently available electronic data. The who's-who will provide profiles of senior individuals within the industry, and the events section will be a worldwide diary of air-transport conferences, symposia, and exhibitions.

A reports module will give access to previous surveys, annual reports and a range of industry forecasts. The jobs listing will provide an online "situations-vacant" column.

The aircraft module includes aircraft physical dimensions, weights and seating capacities, and fleet-operational statistics and fleet listings supplied by leading aerospace data provider Airclaims.

ATI has been selected as official online publisher for the Asian Aerospace '98 show to be held at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore between 24 February and 1 March.
