Swissair administrators are poised to close the sale of the airline's SR Technics maintenance arm to the UK investment group 3i. "We are in a selling process at the moment," says administrator Karl Wüthrich, although he declines to set a date for the sale's completion. Negotiations with Lufthansa Technik and Singapore Technologies Engineering Aerospace fell through earlier this year. The sale of SR Technics would go some way towards paying off Swissair's debts. The division reported sales of SFr1.3 billion ($871 million), but SFr240 million losses earlier this year.

In our European maintenance directory (1-7 October) we wrongly said SR Technics was part of Swiss.
