The 2007 Airline Strategy Awards have once again recognised the industry's leading executives and top management teams. Now in their sixth year, the Awards have quickly become a highly sought-after and respected badge of honour among the industry elite. When it comes to recognising boardroom excellence, the Airline Strategy Awards are the benchmark.

The categories
There are six categories in the Airline Strategy Awards, each representing a key boardroom discipline and each selected by our independent judging panel.

Executive leadership
Regional and low-cost leadership
Finance
Marketing
Operations
Technology

Airline Business also presents its own award in recognition of a sustained and lifelong contribution to the industry.

The judging process
Airline Business works with the global aviation practice of leading executive search firm Spencer Stuart to conduct the judging for the Airline Strategy Awards.

Opinions about the shortlist are canvassed from industry experts and analysts around the globe, while Airline Business also calls for nominations via the magazine.

A new addition to the judging panel this year is Jeffrey Katz, who lists senior roles at American Airlines, Orbitz, Sabre and Swissair on his CV. The judging took place at a meeting held in Spencer Stuart's London office in late May.
