A TNT Airways Boeing 737-300 freighter suffered an undercarriage collapse while making an emergency landing at Birmingham International Airport last week. The aircraft had been en route from Liege in Belgium to London Stansted but, owing to visibility problems at Stansted, the flight was initially diverted to Nottingham East Midlands Airport. However the crew subsequently discovered a possible problem with the aircraft’s undercarriage and opted to declare an emergency and divert to Birmingham.
