Dassault plans to roll out its Falcon 7X ultra-long-range business jet on 15 February at its Marignac plant near Bordeaux, France. First flight is set for the second quarter leading to certification and first deliveries late next year. Dassault says the 7X is designed to be the fastest business jet in its class, with a Mach 0.9 maximum operating speed. The aircraft will be pitched against the Bombardier Global Express XR Sand Gulfstream G550.

US firm Sierra Nevada (SNC) has been awarded a $170 million contract to deliver two Rapcon-X surveillance aircraft to the Finnish Border Guard.
Turkish business jet charter company Air Sapphire has been heavily fined by the US government for flying a Gulfstream GIV to Russia without authorisation.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a “quality escape” involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware.
