More than a million aviation pictures, from the era of the Wright brothers to the first flight of the Airbus A380, form the Flight Collection archive. A preview of the new, improved website, with enhanced search options, can be viewed at the Flight Group's stand (Hall 2B, L14/4).

The picture library draws on Flight International's archives, as well as current photographs from more than 150 photographers around the world.

Humorous

A variety of photographic styles is represented, including artistic and conceptual images. Pictures range from humorous shots of helmet testing in 1911 to all the activities that take place at an airport.

The Collection also includes Flight International's renowned cutaway drawings of more than 1,000 airframes and engines. The most recent of these are reproduced electronically in full colour and can be tailored to a company's individual requirements. Poster reprints are also available for recent drawings.

The on-line collection is added to every day, but this still only represents a fraction of the available images. To help customers source exactly what they need from the archive, specialist picture researchers are on the end of the phone. Pictures can be licensed for commercial or private use.
