A tribute to RAF Oulton
Sir - In the centenary year of The UK National Trust, staff, members and volunteers associated with Blickling Hall in Norfolk are hoping to establish a permanent record and tribute to RAF Oulton, at Blickling from 1940 until 1947.
At Blickling Hall there is already a file of materials held by the National Trust concerning RAF Oulton. The RAF Oulton Society deserves praise for its efforts to create a memorial to the airmen who served there.
We intend to extend their efforts so that the many visitors to the Hall are reminded of the role the station played during the Second World War.
We would appreciate any information, anecdotes, old photographs, artifacts, newspaper clippings, records etc., which could be added to the archives and possibly used in displays.
