Italian unmanned air vehicle developer Advanced Aviation Technology (A2Tech) is cutting metal for its prototype RV-160TD technology demonstrator

The company is seeking partners to help it develop the 3m (9.8ft)-span vehicle, which has twin wing-mounted electric, gasoline or turbine engines, a carbonfibre skeleton and interchangeable carbon-Kevlar skin, and up to 10kg (22lb) payload capability.

The RV-160TD uses A2Tech's own avionics suite and ground control station with pilot camera and remote video terminal. The basic suite will have an operating range of 10km (5.4nm).
