US carrier Frontier Airlines has begun its transition to an all-Airbus fleet with the receipt of its first CFM International CFM56-powered A319. The aircraft, one of 12 A318s and A319s the airline has on order, will enter service in June from the airline's Denver hub. Frontier, which operates 23 Boeing 737s, is also leasing 15 A319s from GE Capital Aviation Services and one A318 from International Lease Finance.
