AD Aerospace's FlightVu cockpit door monitoring system has received a supplemental type certificate for retrofit installation on the Airbus A330. The company hopes to receive the same certification for Boeing 747-300 and -400 aircraft in the coming weeks. The system, which is made up of two or three CCTV cameras and one or two LCD monitors, helps pilots to observe the area outside the cockpit door in real time.
