Sabena has begun operations with its first of three ex-Air Inter Europe General Electric CF6-80E1-powered Airbus A330-300s. The other two aircraft will join the fleet later this year. The 268-seat A330s will be used to serve destinations in West Africa, and will be joined in August 1998 by the first of four Pratt & Whitney PW4168-powered A330-200s.
