Subassemblies for the first ultra-large Airbus A380 are taking shape as the manufacturer prepares for the start of final assembly in Toulouse next May. MSN001's port wing is shown in the Stage 01 jig at Broughton, with lower skins being positioned. The forward fuselage is ready for equipping at Méaulte, France, and will be joined with the cockpit section, shown rotated 90°. The first landing gear bay has been delivered from Méaulte to St Nazaire, which received the first centre wing box from Nantes last month.
