The A380 (MSN004), which is the first of the ultra-large airliners to be adorned in a full airline scheme, is due to depart for the Dubai air show tomorrow (18 November). On Saturday 19 November the aircraft will make low altitude flypasts over Dubai and its beachfronts between 0900 and 1100. On Saturday it will also carry out a practice display for the air show, ahead of performing each day during the event.

"The A380’s test flight to Dubai is historic, providing a big thrust to Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub", says Emirates chairman His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum.

The Dubai based airline will receive the first of its 45 ordered A380’s in 2007.
