Airbus expects the first flight of the A400M transport to occur as planned at 10:00 local time today, with aircraft MSN001 on the ground with all four engines running at San Pablo airport near Seville.
The aircraft's six-man crew walked to the transport at around 08:00, and started its first engine approximately one hour later. It began taxying out for its historic first flight minutes ago. Airbus says the debut sortie will last for between one and three hours.
